Installation of NextPhone adapter.

Once you have a broadband Internet connection established (Broadband Internet connections include DSL, a Cable modem, T-1, fractional T-1, and T-3 connections), simply connect your NextPhone adapter to an open port on your modem and then to your telephone. It’s that simple. You could be ready to make calls in minutes.

1. Insert the blue Ethernet Cable into the port labeled Internet. The other end should be connected to your High-Speed modem or router.

2. Insert power adapter. Connect the other end to a power outlet.

3. Insert a standard phone line into Phone Port 1. Connect the other end to a standard analog telephone.

4. Wait 60 seconds and pick up the handset. You should hear dial-tone. Try making some test calls. If you do not hear dial-tone click here to for instructions on rebooting your network devices. If that does not fix the problem please refer to the troubleshooting section.

While not necessary, a personal computer will allow you to access your personal account settings and check voice mail. If you use a personal computer with your broadband connection, a router may also be required. A router allows you to connect more than one device to your personal network, such as the NextPhone Adapter and a personal computer.
